A few years ago I made the statement, "I Love this Industry, I hate what it has become"

It seems most people treat this industry like the lottery. Commitment, focus, dedication, and loyalty, seem to be outdated - old fashion ideas. Unfortunately, the more money people have made in the past, the more desperate they seem to be in today's MLM world.

As they jump from program to program they drag good people with them until everyone eventually BURNS OUT! SAD!

I was talking with a very successful marketer last week who made a statement that was very disheartening. He said, "Dale, I know dozens and dozens of people that were making $100,000+ a year five or six years ago in MLM who are now working $30,000 a year JOBS!" LADIES AND GENTLEMAN WE HAVE TO RETURN TO OUR ROOTS of relationships, personal development, and teaching the success principles and wisdom of the ages WHILE EMBRACING new technology.

Why are you involved in the network marketing industry? For the money?

My mentor taught me, money is an illusive rabbit, you will never catch it as long as you chase it. Develop yourself first, and the money will flow.

What are the two biggest benefits in this business?
Number one, without question it is personal growth. Number two is the relationships and friendships you develop.

What destroys great organizations?

Without question, GREED & EGO!

Here are exerts from an email I received tonight.


Dale, after I read your e-book "The Only Shot Ya Got", I was so impressed with your honesty about the industry I drove 1638 miles round trip to do one thing, and that was to look you in the eyes.

Why ?

In our twenty-four years in this industry, every time we have seen a company or down-line explode and go away, it has ALWAYS done so for the same two reasons. GREED and EGO. Our eyes are the windows to our souls and you, Dale, like Tom "Big Al", Do NOT have the GREED and EGO problem that destroys so many lives and businesses.

Another great benefit of our Industry, is it gives you the chance to live a life of significance. All of the pain, aggravation, and frustration is worth it, when you sow into the lives of other people. Other than the industry, I know of no other profession which gives you the opportunity to live such a meaningful life. A reality you must get real with if you plan on making it big in this industry. Good people make stupid decisions and mistakes. People will let you down, many will have a "what have you done for me lately attitude".

Anything you get is a bonus. The Secret is to be fair, and do good and love people without any expectations. Do what is right for yourself.

Most of the people in your downline will quit, and that is ok. You just need to be able to look in the mirror and know you did everything you possibly could to lead, guide, support and direct them. "You can lead thousands, but you can't carry 3 on your back."

What am I trying to communicate with all these off-the-wall thoughts?

Respect the Industry.
Always put your downlines success before your own, and be willing to tell people what they need to hear... NOT NECESSARILY WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR.

WHY DO I DO WHAT I DO?
Because it gives me the chance to make a difference. The email I received today after the corporate conference call last night says it all.

Thanks for updating us on everything tonight. The trainings for the last month have been awesome. If the only training you ever gave us was the March 02, "Knowledge Without Implementation Is Destructive" we should be able to succeed if we burn that tape up by listening to it and putting into action what we learned.

You owe no apologies to anyone for the statements that you made after the training. You are the one who has fallen into pothole after pothole down the road to MLM Success. Did you leave those potholes for those who came down the road after you? No, you did not. You filled each and every one, taking your own time and spending your own money to do so. Not only did you fill the potholes, you reconstructed the entire roadway. You initiated a "system"' that paved the way for each person who chose to travel that road. Each time you attained knowledge, that "system" of pavement was updated, always at your expense.

As Chief Engineer of Highways for NuCreations, (no, for the entire MLM organization), you continue to educate yourself and upgrade the super interstate "system" that you have provided for us. We travel faster and safer on our "Highway To Success" because you paved it out of love at your own expense of $$$$$$$, blood, sweat, and tears. For this, I will be eternally grateful! The only way that I can thank you is to put the knowledge to use and show you that you have not labored in vain. To teach is to change a life forever. Thank you for always taking time to provide the support and encouragement needed. That is a gift not many people have.

You continue to provide at your own expense, through your insightful, educational, tell it like it is books, not only for those in your own organization but to anyone who wishes to take advantage of the vast storehouse of knowledge that you have acquired over your 22 years in the MLM industry. You are to be commended for your unselfish attitude.

You have paid your dues in the industry. You can stand firm on your record of who and what you are. All the Dale Calvert "wanna be's" that use the 'systems' you taught them can start companies from now until the end of time, but it is humanly impossible for them to attain the status that you have reached. For that you have to have a genuine love for mankind and a giving heart. There are some things in life that you just cannot fake your way through.

For all of the above reasons and many that I am sure I do not know, you have earned the right to say what you want to say. As long as you are speaking truth, you need apologize to no one.

If anyone is going to complain about the expense of attending this seminar, they are looking for something for nothing, which is exactly what they have been given. They can SELL the ebooks that you GAVE us and EARN $200 for every referral. What do they want you to do, write them a check for coming? That's about what it amounts to if they take advantage of what you have given them.

I hope you find out who was typing in the nasty little notes. It's sad that some people never learn to use the most valuable asset God gave them, their brain, and it causes it to deteriorate to that point.

Sorry to take so much of your time, but you have done so much for so many that I would have to write volumes to cover it all.

I am also making good use of Brad's knowledge. He is kind enough to share his tapes and gave me a fresh supply this afternoon. He puts his whole heart into the business. He has been a good student.
