Strategic linking delivers measurable results (& gives you massive bang for the buck). An increase in your traffic is guaranteed, and the process is faster and far less costly than site submission campaigns (which can often take months to get your site properly listed).

Links get you found by customers who want what you have.

Statistics prove that once a 'surfer' uses a search engine to find a Web site, they will search for links on that site to visit next.

If this site targets your market, YOU need to be there. Here are nine key ways to find link partners and jump start your linkage campaign:

  1. Offer other Web sites free content to post on their Websites, and include your link on all content you give.

  2. Write a review of a Web site, then tell the site owner it's theirs to post in exchange for a link.

  3. Allow others to publish your ezine on their Web site.

  4. If you are a writer, add a free article directory to your Website and let others in your niche market know about it.

  5. Do you have a discussion board? Invite other related sites to link to it.

  6. Do you have a members-only Web site? Offer site owners free membership if they link to you.

  7. Join a Web Ring at http://www.webring.org/, where each member site links to the next member site along the chain.

  8. Create an Award for 'best in your niche market' - ask that your award graphic link back to your site.

  9. Join a Banner Exchange like Microsoft bCentral LinkExchange.

For every two banners displayed on your site promoting other businesses, one of your banners will be shown on another member site.

Article 2: The two EXTREMES of "REALITY AND EXPECTATIONS"

Before I start this article I PROMISE YOU that I am going to make your day!

At the end of this article I am going to share with you a WEBSITE THAT YOU MUST VISIT. This is one that will drive the point home, and that you will be sharing with everyone you know. You may want to forward this to members of your upline and downline.

"If you continue to do what you have always done, with the same opportunity, the results you receive will be the same, or less"

"The longer a MLM Company exist, the less an opportunity exist with that company"

As we approach yet another New Year, many people ponder what the New Year will bring. I can tell you exactly what your New Year will bring you. About the same as this year!

The only way to change your results in this industry is:
#1 Change your Company
#2 Change your Activity Level
#3 Change your Effectiveness

If we continue to do what we have always done, we will continue to get what we have always gotten!

The Reality and Expectations of MLM Rookies and those who have fallen in love with their company is next year it will happen! Next year things will change.

Remember, "To thy own self be true"

MLM makes us goofy. MLM causes us to believe the impossible. We have all met people who have been working hard at an opportunity for three, four, five years or longer, and who sincerely have convinced themselves that "Next year it is going to happen"

Their expectations and reality don't match up. They have created a sincere expectation that statistically can NEVER become a reality. The bottom line is simply this. "Ninety percent of the people who earn a six figure income in this industry do so within their first four years with a company. The majority of those, do it within the first two years!"

The second extreme of this concept is those successful Network Marketers whose Reality has surpassed their expectations. This is the most deadly. This is what ruins momentum in companies and organizations.

Quite frankly I never experienced this on a personal level, until I had been in the industry fifteen years. Sure I had met people who had semi-retired from their opportunities, but I never quite understood the emotional and psychological aspects of this decision until I had been in the industry for fifteen years.

When your reality surpasses your expectations you must continue to expand your expectations! I cannot stress this point enough. If you don't continue to move the bar, you will become stagnant, lethargic; you will get out of the rhythm of this business. A false sense of security will set in. You will expect your organization to continue to grow and prosper.

You will believe that you have made it. You will tend to move into a management mode with your organization instead of remaining in a leadership mode. Eventually your organization will suffer! Leaders must lead by example. Your people will do what you do, not what you say.

A few years ago I had the privilege of working with a few people who were self proclaimed MLM flunkies and burnouts. I watched this group pull together and in a couple of years many of them were earning two and three times more income than they had ever made in their life.

However, to whom much is given, much is expected. Unfortunately many of these people moved into a management role. Their reality surpassed their expectations. I tried to encourage them to set new realities, unfortunately the freedom and lifestyle was too enticing.

The sad part was, I had never experienced this before, so therefore, I didn't know how to communicate and help them. I did everything I could, to let them know it wasn't time to semi-retire, the game wasn't won. In the future I will be able to tell the stories and talk from personal experience. Hopefully I can help my leaders of the future, not make the same mistakes of myself & my past leaders. I hope this article will help you not make those mistakes.

Remember; to thy own self be true!

The thrill of success is in the journey. Successful is the person who lives his life WORKING TOWARDS worthy goals. ONCE YOU ACHIEVE THOSE GOALS, YOU ARE NO LONGER A SUCCESS. You must constantly raise the bar and continue to set new goals and WORK TOWARDS THEM! Reread the previous paragraph. Once you reach your goals.....YOU ARE NO LONGER A SUCCESS!!

Don't develop a false sense of security!

Don't set false, unrealistic set of expectations. The Industry is full of so called "heavy hitters" who are living on their success of the past. Well, it is not the early nineties anymore. What have you personally accomplished in the last couple of years?

The Industry will change more in the next 5 years, than the previous fifty combined! Are you ready for it? If you aren't, I may be able to give you a little more insight. (Request the cassette: "The Secret to Network Marketing Success in the New Millenium")
