The biggest challenge to earning a living online is that people quit too easily. They join some affiliate programs or a network marketing company for next to nothing. When they don't see the money following into their pockets, they close up shop.

There are a lot of suckers that jump on to the Internet bandwagon. I say suckers because they buy into the hype and greed. They think that doing this is a quick fix to their financial problems. What they overlook is that it takes work to be successful in ANY business. Think about this for a minute. If your best friend told you that you could be successful in a business without doing any work, would you believe them?

Are you scared? Lazy? Ready to quit because it hasn't happened for you in the first few weeks or months? Great! That leaves more room for those of us who know what it takes to be successful; those of us who want to work to achieve our dreams.

Let's get back to the underlying challenge that people have. Why do they quit and leave early? It's a simple answer. One that is easily overlooked. They do not know their WHY. They have no passion for what they are doing. Lack of passion leads to distraction, which leads to lack of focus, which leads to no drive, which leads to apathy and procrastination.

Are you in this just for the money?

Sorry to be the one that breaks this to you, but that's the wrong reason to be doing this. When you are in it just for the money, you have created another job. Now you are back to punching the clock, the whole 9 to 5 grind. If money is the only reason for doing this, you probably won't enjoy the process and will quit.

What's the alternative?

Doing it with passion and not doing it for money. That's is a totally different mindset. One that is 180 degrees from the one just listed above.

Tony Robbins ends his trainings with this statement - "Live with passion." Michael Campbell, top Internet marketer said, "Do what you love and never do it for the money. The money will arrive in its own time if it's supposed to. If what you're doing serves the world."

Are you serving the world?

Are you adding real value to other people in what you do?

Are you providing valuable information that will change their lives?

Great! That's exactly what you're supposed to do.

Don't worry about those who are spamming on the Internet. They will get caught and shut down.

Don't worry about the scammy deals you get in your email every day. The attorney generals will find them and put them out of business.

Don't worry about whether your family or friends don't want to be in your business. They will come talk to you when they see who you have become.

Your focus should be on one thing - Learning all you can, applying it, and doing it with passion. If your baby made a few attempts to walk and fell down three times, would you say, "This isn't working. It's best to let them crawl." Would you quit and give up or would you passionately and affectionately continue to work with them and educate them in the process?

Having strong reasons are what is going to get you past the bumps in the road. It will help you get past all the challenges that ARE going to happen. It is like you are being tested to see just how serious you are.

Many people who want to be successful in marketing on the Internet want the results they see the successful ones having. However, there is one thing that 97% of them overlook. They do not have a dream. They do not have their mind focused on the outcome. They do not have the right mindset.

The right mindset?

What are you saying?

Dave, just tell me what to do to be successful. I don't have time to write out my dreams and desires. I don't have time to develop myself into the person I need to become. Just give me the steps I need to be successful in business on the Internet.

This is what I hear the 97% say. Just show me the steps. When they are told the most important one, they push it aside and say, "Really, just show me what to do. What does my website need? What should I say to people on the phone when I talk to them?" Unfortunately, I know that 100% of the time when this is overlooked and pushed aside that these people are destined to fail.

However, by focusing on your WHY, your strong reasons and correct mindset, you will be able to overcome anything.

Will there be bumps in the road? Guaranteed! That is what makes the business stronger and more viable.

Will there be people who decide to quit and go elsewhere?

Most definitely! This is a business that focuses in on moving product to build the business. Both customers and distributors will come and go.

Will I have days where I won't FEEL like doing the business?

Certainly! That is why my 20 Reasons are in front of me daily.

Will I have days where things seem to blow up in my face?

You can count on it. That is why we have great leadership to turn to for training via tapes and conference calls.

Will I have times where people just seem to be drawn to me?

Absolutely! That is why I fill my lead funnel daily using systems to bring people to me.

Will I have times where it seems and appears I am lucky?

Without a doubt! That is because LUCK is defined as Learning Under Correct Knowledge. I will have applied the training I get each week from the conference calls I tape and listen to throughout the week.

Will I have a day where I can look back and say I'm glad I did?

It is written in the laws of the ages. That is why I follow the principle of putting others first. Sharing the knowledge I have gained in hopes to help others learn much quicker.

When I look back over the last 5 years and see the thousands of people I have helped, it gives me great joy to know that I have been a great Freedom Fighter. I have been instrumental in the lives of so many. I have poured out my soul to make sure that everyone can know how to build their dream. Yes, what I said those many years ago is now so very true in my mind.

I first had to be the student and apply the principle "That when the student is ready, the teacher will appear." Now that I have learned the right principles, the second part of this truth now applies.

"When the sponsor is ready, the downline and affiliates will appear."

Yes, I had to first make myself ready. This is the great mystery in Internet marketing that people over look. That missing link which makes so many wander through the Internet dark forest. The fact is that I had to first ready myself so that I could now look back and see how far I have come on this awesome, magnificent journey.

I now can do so much that I could only dream about. It was all because I decided to be a part of the team that jumped on board and knew what my business would look like in the future. I must say it was all worth the effort.

Where are you today?

Which path do you want to travel?

Do you want to join the many suckers who are pulled into the deep quagmire of hype and greed?

Do you want to go from opportunity to opportunity, never understanding what you have missed?

OR

Are you ready to begin a most magnificent journey to reaching your dreams?

Are you ready to follow the correct principles that will take you where you really want to be?

I order an average of one book or eBook a week. I want to train myself daily. I have found that there is SO MUCH information out there, that I have no time to watch television or do other useless activities. In my readings, I came across what I would say is the next best thing to "Think & Grow Rich." The amazing thing is that it was written by two guys from Eastern Europe.

You heard that right. Two Eastern Europeans!

Or: if you don't feel good about yourself today, it's not going to be any different with more money.

Yes, having heaps of money doesn't change these things! Well, it can give you power over others, but will that really make you feel better about yourself?

Perhaps you're thinking right now that this just isn't so and that everything will be different then ... Perhaps it will be. But let me tell you a story about some acquaintances of mine.

How Money (doesn't) Changes Your Life

My old friend's family is one of the most well known and most successful families in the town I was born in. The father and mother have owned a restaurant with boarding rooms practically "ever since" - it was their primary source of income and their passion.

And besides, they also built a great mansion, big as a castle, where they rent rooms and host larger groups of clients. And not to forget the family hotel by the sea.

When their sons grew up their parents built them a business building: a flower, cosmetics and children's store for one, and a coffee and tea production house for the other.

Years ago, when their parents had all this, their sons decided to send them on a vacation. Literally - their parents never went on a longer vacation because they "had to work"! When they asked them where they wanted to go they decided for a health resort. For 14 days.

The sons organized everything and did everything humanly possible to assure their parents are going to have a great time. And they went. And they enjoyed themselves. And they came back ... after two days!!! That's exactly how long it took for them to come back home, because they couldn't stand being away from their work for so long ... they enjoyed their work this much.

The fact is - the parents didn't come back because of the work or because they were worried and had to work, they came back for themselves and their own pleasure.

This is a pattern. We are beings that within ourselves build certain patters on the basis of which we then act - regardless of everything else. And the more often we exercise them, the more they become embedded within us.

Do you know of anyone who once said: "I'll work hard for a few years and then just enjoy myself", and he then just couldn't stop working hard ... ever?!

This is it ... So don't allow yourself to waste your life in such a way. It's not about money, it's about your attitude to yourself. Once a certain pattern controls you no money in this world can help ...

Its as Easy as Driving a Car and Cheaper than a Tank of Gas!

No, I'm not saying you should Drive Door-to-Door and sell everybody on the benefits of your web site. Actually, that would be the best promotional campaign, but nobody has that kind of time or man power and it would take away from your current promotional efforts.

I'm talking about taking advantage of something you are already doing everyday. Do you drive to and from work, to the grocery store, to lunch, or to Wal-Mart? If you or any of your employees drive anywhere during the day then you can and should be implementing this technique. So, today when you are driving, wherever you go, take notice of a couple of things:

* Observe how many automobiles there are on the road that can SEE YOUR CAR as you drive.

* Also, notice how many Signs or Bumper Stickers on Cars, Trucks, or Vans YOU READ.

Are you getting any ideas? Wouldn't this be an effective promotional technique? Just think, you could put a small magnetic sign on your car (magnetic so you can take it off at anytime). On it you could advertise your business name, your slogan, and your web address to anyone driving near you. Essentially, everywhere you drive you would be advertising your web site. The magnetic sign wouldn't have to be any larger than a bumper sticker. You already know bumper stickers make an impression on people because you read them all the time when you are driving.

The people who display business signs on their vehicles recognize the importance of traditional advertising to compliment the more modern types of advertising such as direct response email and Internet banner ads. They realize that people spend a lot of time in their cars and that not everyone, who has the ability to shop online, spends as much time "surfing" the Internet as they do driving and riding in automobiles.

You should take advantage of all this commute time, by putting a magnetic sign on the back of you car and maybe even your associates cars. Then you can generate TRAFFIC to your web site, simply by driving in TRAFFIC.
