Article 1: IF YOU DON'T RECRUIT, YOU DON'T DUPLICATE

As most of you know we launched the http://home.bourget-marketing-international.com web site last month.  At the end of the ebook we have an evaluation that distributors have the option to complete & email to me.

I personally look over the evaluations and make suggestions on how they can move their network marketing business forward. I have been absolutely amazed at the people who have been with a company a couple of years, have six or seven in their organization, and they haven't personally sponsored anyone in ninety days or longer.  That is why the inspiration for this article came to me.

IF YOU DON'T RECRUIT, YOU DON'T DUPLICATE, IF YOU DON'T DUPLICATE YOU AREN'T RUNNING A NETWORK MARKETING BUSINESS.....YOU HAVE AN EXPENSIVE HOBBY!

Professional Network Marketers, Leaders, and Future Leaders RECRUIT EVERY WEEK! Period!  You must establish your recruiting rhythm, so each and every week you are prospecting and recruiting.  Momentum in your organization starts with YOU!

I want to share with you a couple of simple inexpensive methods for recruiting in your local market.  I believe you should build it in your backyard first! 

Don't go across the country until you have gone across the street.  Dale are you saying that I shouldn't recruit online?  Absolutely not!  I am talking about your FOCUS, your FOCUS should be to build locally.


METHOD # 1   BULLETIN BOARD FLYERS

Many community businesses have public bulletin boards to place yard sale announcements, automobiles for sell, lost pets, etc.  These type of announcement boards are most common at grocery store chains, and Walmarts. Many distributors have also had success taping these flyers to phone booths, pop machines, newspaper dispensers, etc.

You can design an 8 1/2 X 11 flyer for your product(s) and or opportunity. You should have a minimum of 30 Flyers at different locations within your community at all times.  How much does it cost to have 30 flyers copied? METHOD #2   BUTTONS

"Lose Weight Now, Ask Me How?"

Herbalife built an empire with this stupid little button.  Buttons are easy, simple, and very duplicable.  Don't leave your house without your stupid button, buttons will make you sales, and sponsor distributors. Imagine an organization of 20, 200, 2000, or 20,000 distributors in your downline, all wearing a button and sponsoring people and retailing products, EVERYDAY!  Do you want to be cool, or make $$$$?


METHOD #3   INFORMATION IN WAITING ROOMS.

At our former company we produced a magazine called "Success Makers".  The magazine consisted of about 20+ pages with success story after success story. Many companies offer 10 - 20 page product information booklets. Companies who are featured in Industry publications such as Money Makers Monthly, can also use reprint articles.  What do you do with these information products? 

Place them in waiting rooms.  Doctors offices, dentist offices, tire stores, barber shops, anywhere that people must sit and wait.  You should make a list of locations in your area, and ALL of them should have your literature in their waiting rooms.

After your locations are established you must SERVICE your location.  In other words you, a teenage child, your spouse, your mother, someone must periodically check your locations!  Check the public bulletin boards to make sure your flyers are still visible, and the waiting rooms for your magazines and/or booklets.

Getting the information into your market place one time, does little good. You must consistently keep your message in front of your local community. Just like follow-up is critical in the recruiting process so is SERVICING your "literature locations" in your public market.


OTHER METHODS 

If you stop and think about it there are many avenues to get your message into your local market.  Product displays in businesses, telephone pole signs, door hangers, car signs, etc.

I just recently learned about a company which specializes in automobile web address decals. I know that car signs create business! This product is quite different from the typical magnetic sign!  You can learn more about this unique product here.  I would recommend you and your organization check it out!

I realize some of you reading this article suffer from "TooCoolitis"  You are too cool to initiate the above methods.  The BOTTOM LINE IS.....You aren't the issue!  Duplicable systems and programs are!


IN A FUTURE ARTICLE "DROP CARDS" I WILL SHARE WITH YOU A COOL-HIP WAY TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS IN YOUR LOCAL MARKET.

You must become aggressive, you must understand that there are X number of people you are going to have to expose to your product & opportunity before you achieve the success that you desire.  The quicker you get through the numbers, the faster you will have Success. It is really that simple!

Many people approach their network marketing business with no posture, no work ethic, and no drive.  When things don't work out, who do they blame? Certainly not the person in the mirror.

If you are going to learn how to swim you must get in the water!!!   Many of you are sticking your BIG TOE in the pool trying to learn how to swim.

PEOPLE FOLLOW PEOPLE who have enough guts to sprint, jump, and do a cannon ball right in the middle of the pool!  If you are going to build it then go for it, quit playing around.  Life is not a practice session!

I have tried to share with you some proven ways to generate leads and work through the numbers in your own backyard.  The rest is up to you!

Article 2: The True Benefits of Network Marketing 
                "Which Club are You a member of?"

I have taught for many years that the two biggest Benefits of Network Marketing are:

#1 The personal development, the person you become
#2 The friendships and relationships you develop

I could go on for hours on the absolute reality of these two statements, but I won't.

I just want to caution you to NOT miss the real benefits and rewards of this business!

I have told our senior citizen distributors for years, to let your children and grandchildren see you going for it, giving it all you've got! SET THE EXAMPLE.

If your number comes up and you don't have time to fulfill your dreams at least your children and grandchildren will be proud.

They will know that you didn't lay down and quit. You didn't settle for the rocking chair, that you gave it all you had everyday.

Family, friends and those close to you , are watching you. They are watching how you handle discouragements, set backs, relationships with your downline and upline and on and on.

Set the right example.

You are either a member of the "Accept Responsibility" Club or the "Blame somebody Else" Club.

Which club would the people around you say you are a member of?

Below is an email that I just received from my middle daughter, Channing, 3 minutes ago. It was the motivation for this short article and probably says more about what I am trying to communicate than I ever could.

Hey Dad,

The past week or so has really made me appreciate how you and Mom raised us and made us aware of our "self talk". Living with Lisa it amazes me how people just decide that they want to make their life as complicated, stressful, and miserable as possible, when it doesn't have to be.

I had psychology today and Dr. Hammond was lecturing about developmental psychology and showed us how much our parents affect our outlook and personality. Even though I might not have always listened when you told me to quit pouting or not to let someone "steal my goat".

It comes in real handy now. Especially when Lisa starts rubbing off on me and I want to complain, I'm learning that it's all my choice whether I let it be a good day or bad day. It sure does get tiring dealing w/ the mood swings, but I'm just going to drive her crazy right back since I'm not pouting with her! ha ha... Anyway, just wanted to tell you thanks. Hope everything is going well at home. I miss you all and will be anxious to come home next weekend.

I have always taught my children that people don't make you mad, upset, disappointed, etc, you make yourself that way by your self-talk. One of my favorite quotes to my daughters has been.

"People can't steal your goat, if they don't know where it is tied"

In other words people don't control you with their words, actions and thoughts. You control yourself with your own words, actions and thoughts!
