Article 1: The New Tax Laws

I just read an article on the new tax rules. Interested? Here are just a few items that apply to our tax situation.

If you want to read the article in its entirety please reply to this email with "article" in the subject line and I will forward it to you.

  1. Capital gains tax lowered 5%--from 20% to 15%. Lower income will be lowered from 10% to 5%. If you make more money-you pay more on your capital gains. On January 1, 2009 the old rates return. Gains on collectibles remain at 28%.
  2. Dividends will be taxed at a maximum of 15%. Lower income--5%. Terminates 12/31/2008. Old rules return in 2009. If you make more money you will pay more on your dividends.
  3. New rules for depreciation of business property. Allows small businesses more "write off" the first year. Send for the article if you are interested.
  4. A boost in child tax credit from $600.00 to  $1000.00 per child. You will get a check for $400.00 per child this summer--advance payment of your 2003 taxes therefore you will only get to deduct the $600.00 in 2003. Effective for 2003 and 2004. Falls to $700 in 2005--increases back to $1000.00 by 2010.
  5. Standard deduction for married couples doubles to twice the amount of singles deduction. But it is only temporary--2003 and 2004. In 2005 the married taxpayers deduction will fall to 174 percent of the standard deduction of single taxpayers and then rise to double the amount by 2009.
  6. The 15% bracket is expanded to twice the width of the same bracket for single filers. Temporary--only for 2003 and 2004.

Taxes! Granted the government needs some money in order to carry out their business. But why can't the tax code be simple enough for the average person to figure their taxes in less than a hour. Why does it have to be so complicated? The answer to this questions could be

  1. Special interests
  2. If it is difficult to figure people will just "pay" rather than take advantage of the legal deductions--more $$ for the coffers.

Do you have a opinion on the tax code or some of the changes? I would like to hear them--no bad words please!

Having a home based business with the intent of making a profit will add even more $$$$'s to your deduction column. Four critical points you need to consider in deciding on the vendors for your business are as follows.

  1. Education, Training and Mentorship.
  2. Proven step-by-step system.
  3. A "payout" plan that allows the part time and full time person to make a living wage.
  4. Strong and effective support team.

Wishing you the very best Success, Health and Wealth,

Article 2:  Success of Millionaires

Out of all of the industry millionaires, very few were professional network marketers or professional sales people. They did not necessarily start out with the following attributes. They studied, they practiced, they learned, they succeeded! They never gave up! They had or developed a vision. Very few set out to become millionaires. They started with small goals, like getting out of debt or buying a new car. If you have several of the attributes listed below, you are ahead of the game. If you do not, start reading, stay open, and practice, practice, practice!!

Quitting was never an option!!

If you knew without a doubt that in five years you were going to be a millionaire, would you be willing to call three people per day? Hand out three tapes a day? THERE IS NO WAY TO FAIL IN NETWORK MARKETING, UNLESS YOU QUIT!!!!!! No matter how bad you think you are at this, it is a numbers game. If you run out of people to talk to, buy a mailing list, work the power partner program, send blast faxes, send massive emails. Most millionaires in this industry only recruited 30-35 people personally (over several years), yet they have thousands in their downline. Why? They had a long term view and knew if they just stuck with it, they could become financially independent! So can YOU!!!!

PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!

NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE UP!!!
