Article: WHAT WILL YOU DO?

by Stéphan Bourget

Just as accomplishing numerous details requires writing out an updated daily list and numbering them in the order of their importance, checking them off one by one as you accomplish them... It is just as important to know exactly what it is that you want.

When I was much younger, I had NO IDEA what I wanted to do, be, have, or anything. As I look back on some of the ridiculous low-paying jobs I held, the fact of the matter is, I had to take those jobs out of the need to survive, because I just couldn't make up my mind what I wanted to do as a DEFINITE MAJOR PURPOSE in life.

It wasn't that I didn't know about having to choose or discover a definite major purpose, I just couldn't pick! Life, to me, was confusing. It seemed some people went to college, but never rose above a pre-defined financial level, along with the fact that many of these people ended up broke, divorced, and in bankruptcy. Similarly, it made no sense to me that a "hamburger king" never finished high school, but owned a chain of burger joints all accross the world, along with the millions and even billions of dollars that went along with it.

There are two ways to go about things. One is the college way. With the college way, you accumulate debt, in order to get a degree, in order to qualify for a starter position in the field of your chosen profession. Most hit their ceiling cap with this and never go beyond it and still find a way to die basically broke!

The other way is the self-employed way. "Be your own boss" simply means you cut past the income limitations of working for others and determine your own unlimited income. You can go as high as your drive will take you.

There is just so much motivation that can come from outside sources. At some point, the motivation required to make the big bucks must come from WITHIN YOU. There's got to be a reason to get out of bed in the morning, There's got to be a real goal to accomplish. There's got to be a determination that you're going to get the things you want, by providing the niche services you've chosen. And, just as important, you've got to know exactly what it is you want.

The real appeal of multi-level-marketing is the appeal of unlimited income. As long as people keep joining your downlines and purchasing product, there is no limit to the amount of income you can make. It doesn't take a college education. It doesn't take a significant financial investment. It just takes DRIVE and the unrelenting determination to stick to it.

YOU have to be the reason for people to join. There are alot of good products out there. Compensation plans are piled up to the sky. There's always a new kid on the block. But, what it all ever boils down to is YOU. People buy YOU. They have to want to work with YOU.

The fact of the matter is, I'd sell 2-week-old donuts, encased in a block of hardened polyurethane, if an upline came along, who was so determined, they were committed to my success no matter what. The point is usually NOT THE PRODUCT. No matter what they tell you, products do NOT SELL THEMSELVES.

But, how many of these people can you find? ANYONE acting in just such a manner is VIRTUALLY GUARANTEED SUCCESS. Why? Because most people are looking for that person to come along, rather than to BE THAT PERSON.

MOST PEOPLE ARE LOOKING FOR THAT PERSON INSTEAD
OF BEING THAT PERSON EVERYONE IS LOOKING FOR.

What does the average person do?

1. They join a program, get ticked off about the upline support, quit, and move on to the next program, where they repeat the cycle. They are looking for the strong upline, instead of BEING the strong upline.

2. They look for a position where someone else's strength will create spillover for them. Instead of BEING the strength, they are often disappointed.

But, what happens to all those who CHOOSE to be, who CHOOSE TO BE THE STRENGTH???

We all know what happens to them. They get titles. We label them. We call them "heavy hitters, leaders, icons, gurus."

What if YOU are the strength? Well, the whole world is looking for you! You know what you want. You've defined what it is you will achieve. You drive toward your goal by helping those who haven't the strength, yet. You give your strength to them, until they can be strong for themselves. You teach them how to duplicate you.

Find your own dreams in yourself and then go about the business of turning those dreams into reality. This is what everyone wants. They are tired of their dreams remaining only dreams. Everyone wants their dreams to turn into reality. YOU have the opportunity to DEMONSTRATE to others how to achieve these goals.

But, how do you do it?

First, make the commitment to YOURSELF, "I am going to make darn sure I create an income for at least 3 people. Then, I'm going to turn those people on to this personal commitment that makes it happen. Then, I'm going to keep encouraging them and their people to keep the whole process going."

Know what you want, because it is the KEY to your personal motivation. Become the one who knows how to get the money, because everyone is looking for the person who knows how. Develop 3 people into people developers. Give them the secret of your strength. From there, help your group keep the process of success development going.
